You and your loved ones, colleagues, and peers are invited to join us for our annual Hope for Families luncheon. This year’s luncheon will be on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Oklahoma History Center, 800 Nazih Zuhdi Drive in Oklahoma City.
The event is free and open to the public, but you must make reservations by April 10 in order to attend.
Family Builders is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to end the cycle of abuse within families. For the first time this year, we will recognize a local family who has demonstrated a commitment to our community through volunteerism and philanthropy.
The 2019 Family of the Year Award recipient is the McLaughlin family.
The McLaughlin family has had a generational impact on Oklahomans through their Foundation whose mission is to “create change in central Oklahoma that helps disadvantaged children and their families reach their full potential.” The organization’s core values include believing in the potential of all people, the importance of a strong start for children, providing opportunities for a hand up not just a hand out, and finding innovative solutions for difficult social situations. In addition to the foundation, the family members are active through volunteerism and support of non-profit organizations in Oklahoma.
Their mission and core values are very similar to the mission of Family Builders, and together we will continue to work to end the cycle of abuse within families.
Family Builders welcomes anyone who would like to learn more about Family Builders and celebrate the McLaughlin family to attend this very special luncheon.
To reserve your seat, please RSVP to Kate Bacon at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 405-232-8226 by April 10.
