Cancelled: Join us at Chalk the Walk!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Chalk the Walk has unfortunately been cancelled. Stay tuned for information on more events coming soon!

Family Builders is set to host our annual Chalk the Walk sidewalk chalk art community event on Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Chalk the Walk will be held at the SandRidge Plaza (123 Robert S. Kerr Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73102), adjacent to Kerr Park, in downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Adults and children of all ages are invited to join us for this exciting, free community event.

Chalk the Walk is slated to feature a variety of activities and entertainment including music, face painting, snow cones and food trucks as well as plenty of chalk to leave your artistic mark and much more. Everyone will be able to enjoy games like big-block JENGA, corn hole, and giant tic-tac-toe thanks to the OK Board Game Community. The event is also set to feature local artists creating sidewalk chalk art.

This event has been made possible by our event co-chairs, Megan Scott and Mike Koehler. Both of these special individuals are very active in our local community and believe in providing quality activities for families to spend more time together. We’d like to give a huge thank you to Megan and Mike for donating their time and resources to ensure Chalk the Walk is a success for Family Builders and for Oklahoma families.

Family Builders is committed to helping families heal from the effects of child abuse and family violence.  In addition to the programming we offer, Family Builders is proud to host community events like Chalk the Walk in an effort to encourage families to spend quality time together.

As a nonprofit organization, sponsorships are vital when organizing a community event such as Chalk the Walk. Special thank you to Sandler Training for sponsoring this year’s event.
